ABU DHABI, 24th February, 2023 (WAM) — PT PAL Indonesia, a leading shipbuilding company, has signed a localisation plan with several local UAE entities at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) 2023.
The local entities include Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), Marakeb, Zener Marine, Yahsat, Tasneef, and Iridium.
Shareef Hashim Al Hashmi, Chief Executive Officer of Tawazun Council, said, “The signing of the plan is an important step towards achieving the goals of the Tawazun Economic Programme and will enable local entities to provide high-quality products and services to end-users in a more efficient and cost-effective manner.”
Abdulla Saif Al Awani, Chief Economic Programme Officer at Tawazun Council, commented, “The localisation plan aims to enhance the capabilities of local entities in procuring end-user goods and services and to promote the use of local content by local companies. This collaboration will help us to further strengthen our capabilities, stimulate economic growth and development in the UAE by increasing the use of local resources and expertise.”

The signing of the plan at IDEX 2023 is a significant milestone for PT PAL Indonesia and its partners.
