As a part of its plan to raise the awareness of the UAE Yacht Code, Emirates Classification Society “Tasneef” successfully participated in the 2nd Mare Forum Monaco Yacht Summit 2015:  one of the most global and influential forums for the maritime and shipping industry that recently took place in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Eng. Rashed Al Hebsi Tasneef's CEO has been awarded for the “Special Award” by the Organization of the Islamic Shipowners Association (OISA) for his valuable cooperation and support of his esteemed institution.

Chief Executive Officer Eng. Rashed Al Hebsi of TASNEEF  has been announced as the winner of  “Business Innovation Award” during the Seatrade Awards Middle East Indian Subcontinent & Africa 2015 


Emirates Classification Society “Tasneef” successfully participated in the Seatrade Offshore Marine & Workboats Middle East: a leading event in the region for the workboat and offshore marine industries that took place in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The event was an excellent opportunity for Tasneef to network and engage with its clients, ship management representatives, vessel owners and equipment manufacturers to discuss new concepts, new technology and best practices.

Emirates Classification Society “Tasneef” held a workshop in liaison with Port of Fujairah on 26th of August 2015 at Al Diar Siji hotel, Fujairah, to raise awareness for safety regulations of non-conventional ships. The workshop epitomizes Tasneef’s continuous efforts to raise awareness of Cabinet Resolution No. 29 of 2013 regarding safety regulations for non-conventional ships that are not covered by the international conventions in GCC countries (GCC Code). The workshop was attended by ship owners and several representatives from maritime and insurance companies.

In line with its strategy aiming to cover 50% of the maritime Arab classification market, Emirates Classification Society “Tasneef” and Abu Dhabi Petroleum Ports Operating Company “Irshad”, a wholly owned subsidiary of ADNOC; recently signed a one year contract to survey and classify 31 of its offshore vessels including tugs, pilot boats, crew boats and barges. This agreement comes in compliance with the safety regulations for non-conventional ships that are not covered by the International Convention (GCC Code) which has been put into effect since the 1st of September, 2014. 

Emirates Classification Society “Tasneef” completed the first half of its third year with significant achievements in classification services that are tailored to the needs of the Arab world.
